Abstract Citizen is the newest group from guitarist and composer Aaron Lebos. The band performs modern jazz, and most of its music was written in the first months of the pandemic.
Lebos is a Miami native who has been an active member of the music scene since he was 16 years old. He has played with some of the biggest names in South Florida such as Nicole Henry, Spam All-Stars, Nu Deco Ensemble and his previous original group Aaron Lebos Reality. He incorporates his diverse and eclectic style into the music of Abstract Citizen.

Moises Linares is an immigrant Mexican-American drummer and filmmaker based in Boca Raton, FL. He is the co-founder of POCKiT, a multicultural funk band from Fort Lauderdale known for its infectious grooves and improvisational energy. With over 20 years of live performance experience, including 1,000+ shows across the U.S., Mexico, and Latin America, Moises has shared stages with Grammy-winning artists and played everything from jazz clubs to major festivals. His latest creative venture, 4BEAT, is an improvisation project that blends beat-making, live loops, and jazz improvisation, pushing the boundaries of rhythm and creative collaboration.​

John’s drumming has been described as always being in service to the song, when supporting singer-songwriters and laying down grooves. In the next breath, he can be heard pushing boundaries, while playing open, modern, improvised music/jazz. John is also a respected educator, teaching at the Frost School of Music - University of Miami, for over 20 years. A native of Detroit, John began playing in the school wind ensemble at the age of 10, and started working professionally playing drumset at 13 in local rock, blues, and R&B bands. Moving to Miami, Florida, he continued playing percussion and drumset, and in college eventually decided on the drum set as his main area of focus. Leaving school to play and record with jazz great Ira Sullivan, John eventually joined trombone legend Curtis Fuller for the better part of a year. He followed Fuller to New York city, where he recorded with Fuller, Pepper Adams, James Williams, and Dennis Irwin.

Eric Escanes is a French/American guitarist based in Miami. Four time Grammy Nominated working with Rhiannon Giddens, Valerie June and Cimafunk.

Eric has played in many different bands and projects over the years. At the moment he is playing and touring with national act Flo Rida and his main project Electric Kif. He has played and recorded with artists such as George Clinton, Jack Splash, Bobby Caldwell, Brazilian Girls, Andy Garcia, Mayday, Robin Thicke, John Newman, Trombone Shorty, Doug Wimbish, Nigel Hall and many more. Eric’s musical influences span from Jimi Hendrix to Scott Henderson, John Scofield and Michael Landau.

Golpes Libres
Degnis Bofill is a Cuban drummer, percussionist, vocalist, and composer. He is well versed in an array of percussion instruments and a connoisseur of Cuban’s unique rhythmic tradition. A vastly experienced performer, he has toured the world, and performed alongside Arturo O’Farrill, Orlando Valle “Maraca”, Néstor Torres, Bobby Carcassés, Jon Cleary, Dave Weckl, Blondie, Brian Lynch, Jaques Morelenbaum, Daymé Arocena, Lula Galvão, Omara Potruondo. Degnis’ directs his own ensemble, Golpes Libres (Free Hits), mixing Afro-Cuban traditional music and modern jazz, combining intricate textures, improvisation, and elaborate harmonic work. He is also a music educator, and offers workshops. Degnis won a Latin Grammy for the album Ancestros Sinfónico in the category of Best Folk Album with the band Síntesis. He has recorded on more than 30 albums with some of the above mentioned artists and others.
Degnis is a OneBeat fellow having been honored with the distintion in 2023.​

Explorations is a Miami based trio group that blends jazz, lofi, funk, hip-hop, and samples in an improv setting. The group we'll be playing a mixture of both original music as well as some classic hip hop & jazz tunes by artists like: Kendrick Lamar, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, A Tribe Called Quest, Robert Glasper, MF DOOM and many others. Explorations strives to explore the studio space and also creates stories in hopes that others are touched by them.

Jason Matthews
Jason Matthews is a Miami-based keyboardist, composer, and producer who was born and raised in Philadelphia.
After moving to Miami and graduating from UM’s Frost School of Music for music education and jazz performance, he began his career writing and producing music with his college band The Politix, eventually shelling out into his current projects Electric Kif & TWYN. Since 2014, Jason has toured internationally as a sideman with cuban singer, Danay Suarez, British blues guitarist, Matt Schofield, latin percussionist and arranger, Tony Succar & pedal steel guitarist, Roosevelt Collier.  He has performed as a soloist with the New World Symphony, Asheville Symphonyand Amarillo Symphony as well as at world class events including Montreux Jazz Festival 2018, Montreal Jazz Festival 2016, Summer Stage NYC & TED Global: Rio De Janiero 2014.
Jason has earned himself two Latin Grammy nominations for producing, writing, and engineering Danay Suarez’s 2017 LP Palabras Manuales. The album was nominated for “Album of The Year” as well as “Best Alternative Music Album” in the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards. 
Recently, Jason has been recording and touring with his own projects Electric Kif and TWYN as well as performing and co-arranging for Nu Deco Ensemble.

Jack Brandford and Leo Folsom
Jack Brandfield - Miami based saxophonist. Has played at venues nationally and internationally including the Kennedy Center of the Arts, Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival, Dizzys Jazz Club. 
His six piece band is made of musicians met at his time spent studying jazz at Michigan State University. Daniel Parrish on Trombone, Will Crandell on drums, Lucas Lafave on bass, and Elio Gomez on guitar - Joined by Leo Folsom - L.A based pianist, they will be presenting original music that will be on their upcoming album. ​

Jeff Prine
As a journeyman musician from Brooklyn, NY, he’s shared the stage with Dickie Betts, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, The Outlaws, Cyndi Lauper, Stuff (featuring Steve Gadd), and recorded original songs for Roulette Records.
As bandleader and regional guitarist in South Florida, Jeff Prine has provided musical backing for local blues legends like Joey Gilmore, Juanita Dixon and the late Big Mama Blue. During his two year stint helming the house band at Cheers, Jeff played with Albert Collins, Coco Montoya, Buddy Miles, Kim Simmonds, Dave Mason, Rick Derringer and Steve Morse. Recently, The Jeff Prine Group has opened for Matt Schofield, Shemika Copeland and was the featured guitarists for Ike Stubblefield.

JukeJUke is a four-piece, "post-blues," hybrid with a high motor and bottomless soul.Spearheaded by frontman/harmonica-whiz/singer, Eric Garcia, JUke's content touches on non-traditional subject matter while simultaneously keeping their crowd moving with a smile on their faces.  Harold Trucco is our ridiculously amazing guitar player. The addition of Korian Hannah on the drums, and the amazing Marcel Salas now have the band firing on all cylinders.
 JUke's high-energy live performances and imaginativelyrical depth have thrilled music fans from coast to coast.
They have both backed and opened for G. Love and Zach Deputy, opened for Gary Clark Jr. and wowed folks at festivals such as Wanee, Hulaween, and many more.

Ian Muñoz
Alto saxophonist Ian Muñoz, is a recent graduate from The
Juilliard School with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies. Ian has
had the opportunity to perform alongside musicians like Sean
Jones, Bruce Williams, Ira Sullivan, Billy Drummond, Bryan
Carter, Hermeto Pascual, Josh Evans, Matthew Whittaker and
more. A particularly cherished memory of his was, in 2017, he was
a guest artist on the renowned flutist Nestor Torres' album, "Jazz
Flute Traditions," which was nominated for a Latin Grammy for
Best Latin Jazz/Jazz Album.
He also had the honor of being a five-time National YoungArts
winner, a two-time recipient of the DownBeat Student Award and
was also selected for The Next Generation Jazz Orchestra (2018,
2019, and 2020), the National Youth Orchestra Jazz ensemble with
Sean Jones (2019) where he was able to internationally tour in
China, Taiwan, Japan, Canada and perform at Carnegie hall in
2019.

Burgundee
Burgundee is a Miami-based band known for their unique blend of R&B, jazz, and neo-soul. The band consists of Beatriz Guzman (vocals), Andrew Amengor (keyboards/trumpet), Sergio Zavala (guitar), Juan Moreno (bass), and Victor Sanchez (drums). They are recognized for their captivating vocal stylings, imaginative instrumental choices, and infectious grooves. 

Burgundee's music is characterized by a blend of the members' diverse cultural influences, resulting in a unique sound. They aim to share their stories through their music, hoping to resonate with listeners. The band released their first EP, "Reflections," in 2020, with "Things You Do" being a popular track. They have also participated in events like the NPR Tiny Desk Contest. 

The band's name, "Burgundee," was chosen by Beatriz Guzman and her friend Karina. It reflects the band's vibe, described as "a color, a vibe".

Nick Tannura

For the past 15 years, Guitarist Nick Tannura has been an active member of the growing South Florida original music community.  His diverse style is as influenced by his appreciation for traditional jazz and blues music as it is by his affinity for contemporary Hip-Hop, soul, and rock music.

He is a member/co-leader of Lemon City Trio, leads jazz based groups under his own name, and is a regular collaborator with Lauren Henderson, Twyn, and Magic City Hippies, among others.  As someone who appreciates a wide variety of musical styles, his performances reflect this and feature an eclectic variety of material, sounds, and genres.

Oigo Trio
Adrian Gonzalez-Arredondo was born in a valley somewhere in the north of South America, raised by a first-class family in the third world. He studied piano, guitar and solfege at the Conservatorio Juan Jose Landaeta for 7 years until moving to Miami at the age of 14. Became a multi-instrumentalist out of curiosity and happenstance. Later on
became a vocalist out of necessity and circumstance. He's got no Grammys or Junos or awards to boast about (except for the top prize at the 2000 Miami-Dade Community College - Kendall Campus Composition Contest, where he graduated from the Honors Department). Performed at numerous festivals throughout the country with many a bands
in the past 25 years, but mostly with local stalwarts Suenalo, with whom he’s played for the last 13 years. He also spearheads his own project OIGO, a non-genre specific outfit focused on groove, songwriting and good times. Adrian has a knack for writing familiarly
sounding original tunes. He also wrote this bio.
